Hey ladies...

I was inspired by a post on blackhairmedia.com about food and making a diary of what food we eat throughout the day. I need to get a grip on my food/nutrition intake so I am going to start here.
Feel free to join me if anyone need some motivation on this!

The point of this is that I am trying to eat healthier and feed myself with good foods and not just junk. We all need to respect our bodies and be aware of things like heart diease/high-blood pressure etc.

Weds, April 22nd: So far...

Breakfast - onion bagel and smoked salmon, one apple


Mid-morning snack - plantain chips (a variation on banana chips) and about 1.5 liters of water so far...and a few mouthfuls of mango juice!

Will add on later in the day!
I just had lunch - my main meal of the day and that was:

shirmp/smoked honey roast mackerel and beansprouts stir fried with plain rice noodles in thai sweet chilli sauce + even more water.
Right, last night I had a granola bar, about 3 small flapjack squares (more oats!) , 2 medium sized plums, another litre of water and a little more mango juice!

Today I've only had -

Some of the rest of that stir fry from yesterday's lunch - yummy left overs!
Half a glass of mango juice
Half a litre of water

I am not eating much in the day cos I'll be going out to a restaraunt tonight (a grill!) so I'm saving the calories!
Ok last night at the grill - I had
Shrimp pasta in cheese sauce and a apple tart with ice-cream and caramel sauce

Got back home and had the rest of the left-over stir-fry waayyyyy past midnight!

Today I've had so far...

Bagel and low fat soft cheese with a large peppermint tea for breakfast

A granola bar and apple - mid- morning snack

nearly 1.5 litres of water

lunch/dinner - chicken breast with beansprouts and rice noodles stir-fried in thai green curry sauce.

A little mango juice

1 Worther's Original sweet
Yesterday - Left over chicken noodle stir-fry and water for breakfast/lunch

granola bar and later grilled fish for an evening snack.

Peppermint tea and about 1.5 litres of water throughout the day

Some flapjack bites (3 small ones)


Today so far - bagel and low fat soft cheese and some mango juice
Last night - can't remember, but had a lot of water!

Today - Salmon. smoked mackerel and rice noodle stiry-fry

One can of meal replacement drink ( called nourishment)

1.5 litres of water

The rest of the stir fry in the evening.

Good workout in the gym today - managed 1 hour on the treadmill....
Ok, been awol for a few days but I'm back!

Last went to gym last Thursday

yesterday - Breakfast was the rest of my chicken, butter bean and noodle stir-fry from the night before

Lunch - a veggie burger from Nandos w/ cheese + 1/2 a litre of pomegranate juice

Dinner ? Some rosemary water crackers and 1 piece of haddock

Had about 1.5 ltrs of water all day.

Today

Breakfast - plain buttered bagel, peppermint tea and water

Lunch - cheese and onion pastry slice, cream of chive soup (small, no bread), rasberry and orange squeezed juice

Desk snacks - cucumber, a plum, an apple and a pot of low fat activia creamy yogurt + l ltr water and green tea.
The rest of Tuesday, I can't remember, but it wasn't much!

Wednesday

Plain buttered bagel for breakfast and peppermint tea

Lunch - Veggies in black bean sauce and egg noodles, rasberry/orange squeezed juice

Starbucks with my girls mid- afternoon - Mango and passionfruit frappuchino and iced cinnamon bun

Afternoon desk snacks - water, activa yogurt, cucumber

I cheated by having 1 bar if chocolate orange :( - but I only did because I was tired and bored. Have to think about it next time!

Dinner - Carrot and coriander soup (half a can) and some rosemary crackers. More water.


Today

Breakfast - half a bagel with cheese and peppermint tea

Lunch - greek veggie mix, with spinach rice and feta cheese. I ditched 80% of the cheese. Yuk! - Small apple juice

Starbucks with another set of ladies - Large green tea and cinnamon bun.

Afternooon snacks - yogurt, plum, carrots

Dinner - Chinese takeaway - Shrimp fried rice, 1.5 ltrs of water and a little mango juice.

Managed to go gym - good workout!
